History, religion, tradition. Always curious.

KVCS is my indulgent project. During the day I'm a Philadelphia-based Graphic Designer, but when I'm not designing for others or wondering whether I've got the right shade of blue, I'm wondering about little moments in history, philosophy, great literary characters, religious art and older artistic methods.

Each piece is an opportunity for me to delve deep into a subject and to take the long way round. Once I'm obsessed with some idea (it happens often!) it's written down, notes are taken, little sketches are made,... a plot is a foot. Then something clicks and the process moves on. 

Everything is done slowly by hand with older tools. All drawings are first sketched in pencil then transferred onto better paper with tracing paper. No fancy micron pens here, it's a dip pen and ink. It spends a few days or maybe a week on my drafting table and it comes to life. 

The finished product not only represents my curiosity on the subject but late nights and obsessive weekends spent slowly working, so each purchase means a lot to me.
